Sanur Resort Watujimbar Celebrates Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day with Community Spirit and Social Care

This August, Sanur Resort Watujimbar proudly celebrated the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia through “Waktu Indonesia Semarak”, a month-long festivity combining special offers, meaningful community activities, and impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs for the local community.

Celebrate with Special Offers

The celebration began with exclusive promotions to let guests enjoy comfort and authentic
Indonesian flavors:

  • Waktu Indonesia Semarak Tamasya 60% discount on room rates including one Combo
Meal, 15% discount on food at Tamblingan Café, and 10% discount on spa treatments,
the perfect opportunity for travelers to experience the charm of Sanur.
  • Waktu Indonesia Semarak Santap, 17% discount on special Indonesian menu sets, including:
    • Nasi Goreng Berdaulat + Soda Gembira Ria
    • Soto Ayam Adil dan Makmur + Cendol Khatulistiwa

On 15 August 2025, the celebration took on a deeper meaning with a Cleaning Blitz. All staff worked hand-in-hand to clean the surrounding environment, equipped with gloves and garbage bags. More than just a clean-up, it was a symbolic act of respect for the earth and a reminder that independence also comes with responsibility.

The highlight of the festivities came on the morning of 17 August 2025, when the Merah Putih flag rose proudly against the Bali sky, filling all participants with pride. The solemn ceremony quickly turned into laughter and cheer with traditional games enjoyed by staying guests, from lari keleng to sack races, uniting people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures in genuine joy.

Sharing with Others: CSR in Action

This year, Sanur Resort Watujimbar partnered with Scholars of Sustenance (S.O.S), a Food Rescue & Environmental Foundation, for the SOS Care Package Program 2025. The program aims to support at least 100 underprivileged families in Buleleng or Karangasem, Bali. Every donation was transformed into care packages filled with essential food supplies, bringing hope and happiness to the recipients.

“Our 80th Independence Day celebration was not only about promotions and events, but also about unity, pride, and compassion,” said Ida Bagus Gde Cendra, General Manager of Sanur Resort Watujimbar. “We wanted our guests to experience Indonesian hospitality in its truest form joyful, welcoming, and caring.”
