Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa, Bali is proud to announce an upcoming musical event titled “Nusa Dua in Harmony.” This event will feature the extraordinary talent of renowned Balinese flute musician, Gus Teja World Music who has been invited as the main guest star. With a deep connection to nature and the spirit of Bali, Gus Teja draws inspiration to create beautiful ethnic traditional music infused with modern influences. Notably, he is the first and youngest Balinese musician to achieve this fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds. The aim of this event is to preserve the unique traditions, arts, and showcase Balinese culture which aligns with the hotel’s concept.
Gus Teja World Music will captivate the audience with a blend of traditional instruments such as slonding, tingklik, drums and flute, harmoniously combined with modern instruments like the guitar and bass guitar. This event will also feature local artisans from the Manubada Art Community, a painting exhibition from ISI (Institut Seni Indonesia) and the works of rising fashion designer, Julia Manda.
The special event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 8th July 2023 at the Budaya Cultural Theatre, an open-air amphitheatre with an authentic Balinese stage for dramatic cultural performances of theatre, dance, and music from Bali.
Guests will be treated to a delightful and uplifting ambiance as they enjoy the enchanting sounds of Balinese modern music. In addition to the musical experience, the event will offer an exclusive set menu of flavorful delights. The combination of exceptional music, contemporary dance, painting exhibition, authentic Balinese architecture and delectable cuisine aims to create a truly memorable experience for the guests.
